You might remember that a week ago, the ESRB rated Final Fantasy XV Royal Edition, with speculation that it was some kind of all-in-one package. Well, it turns out this was exactly the right thing to do.

The Royal Edition combines the original game with all of its Season Pass content, including Episode Gladiolus, Episode Prompto, Episode Ignis, and the Comrades multiplayer expansion. However, this version of the game goes further, with some additional features even for the older players.

The map has been expanded to include a new dungeon in Insomnia City Ruins, and new bosses have been added as well. He will also be able to captain the Royal Vessel and explore the sea between Cape Caem and Altissia. In addition, there will be a first-person mode, new gear, and more. This sounds like a pretty generous deal, honestly, offering a ton of extra goodies for both new and returning players.

Persona 5 Royal and Nier: Automata are coming to the Nintendo Switch this October

However, if you already own Final Fantasy XV, the Royal Edition bonus content comes in at $19.99 as a separate purchase, which might not be that generous. If you’re interested, Final Fantasy XV Royal Edition is due out on March 6, so there’s not much time to wait.

Are you going to give yourself the pleasure of attending the Royal Edition? Are the extras worth the extra dough? Sail the Royal Vessel to the comments below.
