www.microsoft.com under linux?

On Friday, Microsoft changed the DNS address www.microsoft.com, to a new Akamai caching system, which runs under Linux.

Akamai is a system that protects the system from Distribution Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks.

It is thought-provoking that this applies now, after the appearance of the Blaster virus, which would attack the site http://www.windowsupdate.com with DoS-type attacks, although this is only a theory.

Apart from what it means to use Linux, in a company like Microsoft, we find ourselves with an impossible combination for the Linux community at the moment, and that Microsoft is using, it is the union of Linux and the Microsoft Web Server (IIS ).
