Some people already own Cyberpunk 2077! And CD Projekt Red is not happy about that … In other news this N8W8: PlayStation boss calls investing in new IPs very risky, day-one patch Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity fixes bugs, Yakuza event with details on future developments and Titanfall launches (buggy …) on Steam.
Cyberpunk 2077 can already be found in the wild; CDPR is taking action
The development of Cyberpunk 2077 is a bit difficult to say the least… The game has been postponed several times in recent months. Maaaaaaar: now it is almost time! Or well, ‘almost’… Some people already have the game in their greedy hands!
Reddit shows how someone managed to score the physical version of Cyberpunk 2077 on PS4. The Guardian doesn’t blame you if you’re skeptical. She was! At least until she saw the accompanying video with about 20 minutes of gameplay, including start screen and menus. Because that seems like a lot of work for a hoax.
Now that Cyberpunk 2077 has surfaced in the wild, keep an eye out for spoilers. Just like with The Last of Us Part 2, there will again be people who want to spoil the surprise! However, these glands do have to deal with CD Projekt Red’s wrath. The developer has announced (via DualShockers) that it will take “legal action” against anyone who violates the embargo.
We’re almost there boys. I actually had the game in my hands. from r / cyberpunkgame
Cyberpunk 2077 is officially available for check-out on PC, PS4 and Xbox One from December 10th. A next-gen upgrade for the PS5 and Xbox Series X will follow at a later time. Thanks to backwards compatibility, the game is immediately playable on those devices.
PlayStation boss says investing in new IPs is very risky
Jim Ryan, CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment, speaks candidly about Sony’s recent acquisitions in an interview with GQ. The PlayStation chief is also speaking out about developing brand new IPs. Ryan calls that “very risky”.
Jim Ryan tells in the interview that Sony has invested a lot over the course of the PS4 lifecycle, much more than many people realize. He is referring, for example, to the acquisition of Insomniac Games. In addition, creating blockbuster games is also a pretty expensive business:
The thing with those blockbuster games is that they need a box office release. They cost more than $ 100 million to make these days and in order to be able to do that and bring new IP to the market – which is a very risky thing and we did four times in the PS4 generation – you’ve got to have a box office release. “
Big games also need a big release! Otherwise, we can write those “risky” new IPs on our stomach from now on! In any case, Ryan states that the folks at PlayStation are thinking very deeply and carefully about balancing new IPs such as Horizon Zero Dawn or Ghost Of Tsushima and new parts in existing franchises, including God Of War or Uncharted.
Day-one patch Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity fixes bugs
The Guardian only hears good things about Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity! She is therefore very excited to start the game. Unfortunately, that is not yet possible … Anyway, every disadvantage does have its advantage. Once she gets to the game, she can immediately take advantage of that new patch!
The first patch for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity should fix some game-breaking glitches. This concerns, for example, moments in the game when players could not continue, even though they had met all the conditions. Also a nice bug: after selling materials the controller stopped working in some cases.
Do you run into these problems? This update should save you!

SEGA’s Yakuza event detailing future developments
Hoera! Yakuza is almost 15 years old! To celebrate that beautiful anniversary, Sega is organizing a special birthday party for the beloved series next month.
The Yakuza event will take place on December 8th. This specifically concerns a live stream that pays attention to the 15th anniversary of Yakuza. Since a party is not complete without guests, you can look forward to the presence of voice-actors Takaya Kuroda and Kazuhiro Nakaya.
You don’t have to worry that Sega will only look back on 15 years of Yakuza. Because they also look ahead! They even let it be known (via PCGN) that they will make announcements about future developments. Exciting!
We will of course keep you informed!
Titanfall Launches on Steam; receives many negative reviews
Titanfall has been playable on Steam since this weekend! A nice surprise, you would say… Unfortunately, the game has quite a few problems. And that is reflected in the predominantly negative reviews …
Titanfall players who have purchased games on Steam are reporting matchmaking issues. There also seem to be issues with missing DLC maps and some people are complaining about an audio bug with SUPER LOUD NOISE …
What is going on? On Reddit (via Eurogamer) there is a lot of speculation about a notorious hacker who has been able to kick people out of the Titanfall matchmaking for years.
At the moment it is not clear whether it is indeed (again) about that hacker (group). In any case, Respawn has not yet responded. Anyway, let’s get the problems resolved quickly!
Update: on Steam you can read that the audio bug must be fixed by now.
