Up to 15% more performance on Intel Arcs with the new Advance Performance Optimization option

Intel have updated their graphics drivers to include the new Intel Arc A770M and A550M high-end and mid-range respectively. In addition to supporting various games, it has also added a new feature called Advance Performance Optimization (or advanced performance optimization). This new option allows you to give a boost to certain applications, although for the moment only available for 3D Mark Time Spy and Port Royal tests. This option will soon be extended to other programs and it would be especially interesting to include as many games as possible.

A user who has access to the new Intel Arc for Desktop A380 has been able to test this new option. With her enabled got 15% more performance when running Time Spy tests. Specifically, it has obtained a score of 4,929 points vs. 5,757 points with this option enabled. In Port Royal he has also managed to increase the score from 1,780 points to 1,854 points activating APO. This time, the ray tracing test has seen a less noticeable increase of 4%.

Intel overtakes AMD, but at what price

At the moment these scores are not valid in 3D MarkUL is reviewing that no type of optimization has been used even with this option disabled and thus be able to start validating Intel Arc graphics scores.
