E3 2019: Cyberpunk 2077 Pre-Order Already Much Higher Than The Witcher 3s

Hello and welcome to Maxi Game, the site where we write about nothing but Cyberpunk 2077, apparently. Look, E3 wasn’t great this year, but at least the latest CD Projekt Red is giving us a lot to write about. And to be fair, it’s kind of interesting!

In an interview with Bloomberg, co-general manager Marcin Iwinski is asked about how Cyberpunk 2077 tracks in terms of pre-orders. Usually a strong indicator of how a game is going to do commercially, pre-orders are obviously big business these days, and it looks like Cyberpunk 2077 is going to be a blockbuster when it releases in March of next year.

“Cyberpunk 2077 pre-orders are much higher than Witcher 3,” says Iwinski. Given how well The Witcher 3 has sold, over 20 million units to date, it’s safe to assume that Cyberpunk 2077 is going to be a huge success for the Polish company.

The game has been riding a huge hype wave for quite some time, but we wonder what impact the Keanu Reeve reveal had on the numbers. We wouldn’t be at all surprised if pre-orders enjoyed a significant boost in E3 screening.

How well do you expect Cyberpunk 2077 to sell, assuming its quality is up there with The Witcher 3? Run the numbers in the comments section below.
