Valve Releases Steam Linux Beta

Although the Steam for Linux beta was initially only available to a restricted group of advanced users, as of today you can download the beta for free and freely without prior approval from Valve.

Keep in mind that the Steam client for Linux is only available for the Ubuntu distribution and from version 12.04 of the operating system, that is, it is not valid for any Linux distribution or previous versions.
