Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection will have a brutal difficulty level on PS4
Take off that damn bulletproof vest.
If you’re one of the three people in the world who didn’t break a sweat on Uncharted’s impossible crush mode, then you’ll be glad to know that an even more brutal difficulty option is making its way into Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection. We’re working with second-hand information, but Kotaku claims that the tax level has been designed with “the most skilled game testers” in mind.
That means more bullet sponges and grenade launches, then, right? Well, not exactly. The post also asked port house BluePoint if it will mark the health points of some of the release’s most obnoxious enemies, and indicated that it will recalculate the amount of damage enemies can take. It’s also promised some control tweaks, so it feels like this is more than your average up-res.
In fact, the horrible SIXAXIS motion controls that Sony subjected us to during the early days of the PlayStation 3 have been removed. You no longer have to tilt the controller to cross logs. It will, however, be an option for you to turn on gyroscope grenade launches, but we suspect anyone with half a brain will make sure that’s set to “off” at all times. Seriously, what a terrible idea that mechanic was.
