Santa Monica Studio Unveils Upcoming God of War Updates on PS4

Sony hasn’t been shy about speeding up a bunch of patches for God of War. In the first week of the game, a new update was available almost daily as Santa Monica Studio churned out a large number of bug fixes.

Although things have slowed down recently, it seems that we are far from seeing the last of these updates. The developer has said what we can expect in the upcoming patches, and they sound a lot more substantial than what we’ve seen so far. First of all, the update of the photo mode is ongoing, while the size of the text of the menus and subtitles will be enlarged globally. No more squinting at seats, then. There are also plans to add the Spartan Rage remap option, which is currently enabled by clicking L3 and R3.

Additionally, the studio will continue its quest to squash bugs, including a fix for “an issue where selecting the ‘New Game’ option from the main menu without first closing the app can result in missing dialog and possible progression blockers.” We currently do not know the timeframes for these updates.
