Press Rewind: The Witcher 3 PS4 Patches, Rocket League, and not a full batch more

If the industry was ever going to take a week off, it picked the right one. Maxi Game Towers has been too busy in front of tennis to talk about video games, but given the overall winners, this author wished he hadn’t bothered. Seriously, it’s been a quiet few days at Planet PlayStation. Still, it has been packaged to well for over a month – give us some space, everyone!

Rocket league – 9/10

The Rocket League is a good idea that has been executed by experts. While the idea of a vehicular adaptation of America’s least favorite sport may turn your eyes around, this is a title that’s hard to turn down once you try. Flawless controls and a terrifying level of depth ensure both casual and seasoned gamers have fun on the pitch, and the excellent online implementation makes it a four-wheeler. Not even a mediocre single player option and an out of place soundtrack can stop us from declaring this to be a nice car game.

Pneuma: Breath of Life – 7/10

With fantastic dialogue, beautiful graphics, and some truly groundbreaking puzzles, Pneuma: Breath of Life is a great buy, even for a short game. Although it does have some dull and frustrating moments – as well as some framing issues – it’s all worth it for the incredible ending. The tire may not bring the puzzle genre to life, but it certainly gives you a new perspective on it.

Characteristics

I decided to show my family the amazing gameplay demo of 4s

You have all seen the Uncharted 4: A Thiefs End E3 2015 demo – or at least, I hope you have. When I was sitting here with editor Sammy Barker, watching Sony’s press conference live at 3 a.m., our already weary brains had been hit by the wealth of megatons that the Japanese company had casually paraded on stage as if they were nothing. The Last Guardian had been revived right at the start of the show, we received confirmation of a Final Fantasy VII remake out of nowhere, and the reveal of Shenmue III nearly killed my colleague on the spot. We sat there wondering how Sony was going to end such a momentous occasion, and while we both knew Nathan Drake’s next adventure would have to show up sooner or later, we weren’t entirely prepared for the good image it would bring.
