New Lenovo fitness bands with built-in payment system
The Bluetooth Special Interests Group (Bluetooth SIG) has certified a new device Lenovo which has as part number SWB-110. From what we have been able to learn it seems to be a new particular smartband with innovative features.
Inside the new hardware we find all the basic equipment seen for the previous models in relation to the ability to monitor the steps, the run and receive notifications. These functions now seem to be joined by the possibility of easily managing mobile payments through the system Lenovo Payment bandfully compatible with mobile transaction systems.
At the moment no specific technical details have been released regarding the functions of the system. The method of interfacing between the device and the payment systems is therefore unknown, although it is plausible to think of the application of the classic NFC (Near Field Communication) protocol.
We will provide further details in this regard in view of a future update that brings the device functions also in Europe, given that for the moment it seems that the exclusivity is reserved only for the Chinese market.
