Netflix: Three new mobile games are about to join the service including the first FPS

Netflix: Three new mobile games are about to join the service including the first FPS

Netflix recently announced the addition of three new games which will land on mobile devices for all subscribers to the service. The new catalog dedicated to Netflix mobile video games is therefore destined soon to be enriched on iOS and Android with This Is A True Story, Shatter Remastered And Into The Dead 2: Unleashed, the very first FPS to reach the streaming service. The first two will be available as early as Tuesday, while Netflix has stated that Into The Dead 2 will arrive shortly without announcing an effective date.

The first game is called This Is A True Story developed by Frosty Pop in collaboration with Charity: Water, a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing clean water to the inhabitants of developing countries. It is about a quiz game with a compelling story which tells the real story of a woman from sub-Saharan Africa who struggles daily to find water for her family.

The second game is called Shatter Remastered by the developer PikPok. It is a retro style game whose goal is destroy bricks between dynamic actions and incredible boss fights. As the name suggests, this new version has been updated from the base game originally released in 2009 on PlayStation 3. The game includes dozens of unique levels full of action and power-ups, as well as boss fights and special attacks.

Netflix and its growth among mobile video games, its first FPS coming soon

The last game is the first real FPS (first person shooter) from Netflix, Into The Dead 2: Unleashed and it’s once again from PikPok. In this sequel to the popular zombie action game Into The Dead, players must fend off waves of increasingly threatening zombies as they traverse treacherous terrain. This new version includes dozens of locations, hundreds of challenges, weapons and much more.

The Netflix games catalog was born recently and is slowly being built with new titles that are slowly being added to the launch titles. Among these we find, for example, also the excellent racing Asphalt Xtreme is one League of Legends spin-off, highly played MOBA for PC and mobile. But Netflix has plans to launch even more titles and the purchase of Next Games and Oxenfree developer Night School confirms this. We will see how the streaming giant will take the next steps.
