In this article we are going to explain everything to you in detail.

Despite being labeled for years as a hardly customizable operating system, iOS (the operating system of the iPhone) has made great strides in recent years. Thanks to the latest versions, it’s possible customize your Home screen in tons of ways. Let’s find out how.

iPhone: Move apps and organize everything into folders

Move app

  1. Unlock iPhone;
  2. Long tap on any app until a series of options appear;
  3. Among these, choose “Change the Home screen”;
  4. Move the apps to the position or page of interest simply by dragging them with your finger;
  5. It is possible to drag multiple icons at the same time by pressing the secondary apps (with another finger) without leaving the previously selected icon;
  6. Press on “Finish” in the top right of the display.

Alternatively, the icons can also be moved in this way:

  1. Unlock iPhone;
  2. Make a long tap on any app until the icons start to “dance”;
  3. Move the icons to your liking by simply dragging them;
  4. It is possible to drag multiple icons at the same time by pressing the secondary apps (with another finger) without leaving the previously selected icon;
  5. Press on “Finish” in the top right of the display.

If the iPhone has installed iOS 14 or later, you can also:

  1. Unlock iPhone;
  2. Make a long tap in any part of the Home screen (even without the app) until the icons start to “dance”;

  5. Press on “Finish” in the top right of the display.

Create folders

Creating app folders within the Home screen is very simple. All you have to do is follow one of the procedures just described, with the only difference that you don’t have to move apps into empty spaces, but put one on top of the other to create the folder. That’s how:

  1. Unlock iPhone;
  2. Make a long tap on any app until the icons start to “dance”;
  3. Identify two icons to include in the same folder and drag one of them onto the other to form the folder;
  4. Add any other apps to the folder by dragging them onto it;
  5. Click on “Finish at the top right of the display.
