How to drive, drop, make bell bags in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Press A on the Bells section in your inventory

Animal Crossing: New Horizons on the switch limits the total number of Bells you can hold at one time.

You can carry a maximum of 99,999 bells in your wallet. Collect more, or sell items that put you over the limit, and it will turn into bags of money in your pockets. Although you can carry tons of Bells if you want, consider storing them in the ABD banking system at Nook Stop if you don’t need them all at once.

To separate your Bells into bags (and then, for example, bury and make Money Trees)…

1. Press the X button to open your inventory.
2. Move your cursor over the money in your pocket and press A.
3. Divide your bells into 100, 1,000, 10,000 increments, depending on how much you have.
4. Bells will move in your inventory, allowing you to bury or drop them.

If you want other values, like 20,000 bells, you’ll need to pull out two stacks of 10,000 bells, then use the A button to drag and drop them on top of each other to combine them. Note that stacks of 100 bells do not stack with stacks of thousands of bells.
