How to clear Google Maps history on iOS and Android

Google Maps: clear your search history

Android

  1. Open the Google Maps app;
  2. If necessary, log into your account;
  3. Tap on the symbol of the three horizontal lines present at the top left;
  4. Within the drop-down menu, select the item “Settings”;
  5. Choose the item “Settings”;
  6. Tap on “Google”;
  7. Select “Google Account”;
  8. In the “Activities and history” box, select the item “My activities”,
  9. Tap on “Filter by date and product”;
  10. Remove the check from the “All products” box and select only “Maps”;
  11. Tap on “Apply” to confirm your choice;
  12. Click the three vertical dots symbol in the upper part of the screen;
  13. Select “Delete results” from the menu that opens;
  14. Confirm the procedure by clicking on “Delete”.

iOS

  1. Open the Google Maps app;
  2. If necessary, log into your Google account;
  3. Click on the symbol of the three horizontal lines in the top left;
  4. In the menu, tap on the gear symbol;
  5. Select the “Maps History” item;
  6. Type “Maps” in the search bar at the top of the screen and press enter;
  7. Tap the three dots symbol vertically;
  8. Select the “Delete Results” option.
