Honor V9 is official: 5.7 inch QHD display, 6GB of RAM, but it doesn’t stop there

Honor has finally unveiled its new smartphone, much more than just a phone. It is in fact the greatest exponent of the family Honor for the mobile device segment. It offers a series of interesting features that are concretized in a high quality and unquestionable technical data sheet.

There is talk of the very powerful Kirin 960 SoC and an equipment for the display panel provided for the QHD @ 2560 × 1140 on a 5.7-inch diagonal. That’s all? Not at all.

In fact, what is expected of the new phone goes far beyond the aforementioned features and allows you to create a midrange disguised as a top of the range. Often only 6.97 mm, it houses a large 4,000mAh battery that will make you forget about power banks and power supplies for quite a few hours.

It is practically a phablet and among its strong points there is, as always, the excellent quality / price ratio which in China places it at the starting € 358.

The price clearly refers to the basic model from which the other systems are also derived. It starts from the economic variant whose price has been indicated above and which counts on a memory allocation equal to 4GB with 64GB storage. The messaging route is sold for € 413 and reflects the features of a device equipped with 6GB of RAM and storage compartment identical to the previous one. Finally we have the top-end with 6GB of RAM and a practically infinite memory space of 128GB, the latter at a price of about € 482 at the exchange rate. In both cases we speak of memory of the LPDDR4 type.

The photographic sector is definitely interesting, now strong with a 12Megapixel Dual-Camera system with f / 2.2 aperture and dual-Tone LED flash. In this case we have the laser autofocus and the 3D modeling function which will need further investigation.

Apparently it seems to be the same system already seen for Honor 8, now further optimized and improved, even if we desist from providing certain information about it. As for the front module, on the other hand, there is a standard 8 Megapixel sensor.

As you might expect, it offers support for navigation on a fast 4G LTE network and support for Dual-SIM Mode. There is also the expected support for fast battery charging via a dedicated reversible USB Type-C interface.

Everything is managed on the software side through the latest Android 7.0 Nougat distribution provided out-of-the-box together with the latest customized interface Huawei Honor EmotionUI 5.0 for which there are currently no new introductions regarding specific improvements and functionalities.

Honor V9 it was presented in China and could arrive here in Europe within a few months. There are those who speak of the end of March 2017 as a useful marketing period or at the latest the beginning of April 2017, obviously with slightly revised price lists compared to those expected on the original market.
