Halo Infinite Campaign Install Sizes Revealed

After announcing that the Halo Infinite campaign cannot be preloaded, 343 Industries confirms the install sizes for the game’s full release.

The information comes from a tweet from the official Halo support account, which explains: “Players who have downloaded the multiplayer beta will have a smaller download size”. Additionally, Halo Support notes that file sizes will vary by platform, but this is an expectation of most modern video game releases. Attached to the tweet is an image that provides the specific file sizes for almost every possible variation for the Halo Infinite update.

The first category belongs to those who have not yet downloaded Halo Infinite Multiplayer. Downloading just multiplayer today is about a 26.53 GB install, and downloading both of them and Campaign is about 48.42 GB. As mentioned, those who have already downloaded multiplayer have to deal with smaller file sizes: the multiplayer update alone is about 3.97GB, while the campaign install is a “additional download” of approximately 25.86 GB.

Games like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Destiny 2, and Red Dead Redemption 2 are notoriously large games, clocking in at hundreds of GB each, so Halo Infinite definitely sits on the lower end of the spectrum. Unfortunately, however, even the smallest updates can take forever depending on the user’s internet connection and speed. Fingers crossed, everyone can get into the latest Master Chief adventure as soon as they can.
