Google will implement native support for ChromeCast in Chrome

Curiously, and despite being Google’s own technology, Chrome does not support native ChromeCast way and you need to install an additional extension for it to work.

That could soon change as the company has released beta version 52 of its popular browser where you can find the option to send content to the chrome cast without the need to install the Cast extension. At the moment the latest final public version does not bring this feature, but given Google’s system of publishing first the news in betas, it is more than likely that we will see this functionality arrive sooner rather than later.

Other browsers like Edge also plan to integrate a similar feature to stream content directly without extensions.
