Final Fantasy XIV fans in Europe won’t have to wait long to play the MMO on PS4
One of the main complaints about Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn when it was implemented on the PlayStation 3 was that it did not perform as well as its PC counterpart. Thankfully, we learned last week that the upgraded PlayStation 4 version will go on sale on April 14 in Japan, and today it was revealed by publisher Square Enix that it will also launch on the same day in Europe.
A Collector’s Edition is in the works for those joining the MMO for the first time, and will share the same contents as the original edition, but with two new items: a Wind-Up Moogle Minion and a mount based on the beloved alternate summon of Final Fantasy VII, Fat Chocobo. Don’t worry about resorting to those expensive premium packs, as those who have already purchased the next-gen Collector’s Edition will automatically receive the two new in-game items. Vanilla buyers won’t be left out either, as all PS3 copies of the game will be upgraded to the PS4 versions for free.
However, one of the best features of the next generation is not the arrival of Fat Chocobo or its improved graphics, but rather the confirmation of full share button support. Now you can upload your most epic moments for the rest of the world to see. The big question is: are you ready to return to Eorzea? Hop on board in the comments section below.
