The promotion of Final Fantasy VII Remake of Butterfinger is becoming a nightmare for fans of Square Enix’s legendary role-playing game. As recently explained, players have been encouraged to collect two or more candy bars and share a photo of their receipt in exchange for in-game rewards and a nifty-looking Tifa dynamic theme.

Unfortunately, the process sounds like a mess. There are dozens of reports of organizer PrizeLogic rejecting legitimate claims across the web, while others have received blanks instead of redeemable PlayStation Store codes. Despite the confusion, PrizeLogic has yet to comment on what has been going on behind the scenes.
