Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2 Development Unaffected By Part 1 Delay

Unless you haven’t been keeping up, you probably already know that the full Final Fantasy VII Remake experience is being developed and released in parts. The first part, titled simply Final Fantasy VII Remake, takes the Midgar story arc from the original PSone game, and supposedly adds a great deal of depth to the proceedings, to the point that Square Enix has said on multiple occasions that each part of the Remake series will be as long as a full Final Fantasy game.

Speculation and conjecture aside, we don’t know anything about the Final Fantasy VII remake part 2, but Square Enix has confirmed that the development of the second part has not been affected by the recent Final Fantasy remake delay. VII.

Fallout 4 finally has Mod support on PS4

In fact, if Part 1 had stayed on its original March release date, we’d probably be playing it for review purposes right now – but it was pushed back to April 10. When asked if the delay would have any effect on the company’s plans for Part 2 at a recent financial meeting, Square Enix president Yosuke Matsuda simply said, “no, it won’t.”

Again, we don’t have any concrete information on Part 2 other than the fact that it’s currently in development, but it’s still good to know that the delay of Part 1 hasn’t altered the overall plan.
