For the entry level vantage, once again, Apple has decided to focus on the iconic design with rounded shapes of the classic iPads and the 10.2-inch display. But what changes inside? Let’s go and find out together.
Eighth Generation iPad: Chip Upgraded For A Lot Of Speed
The substantial novelty of the new eighth generation iPad is the chip. This, in fact, from the A10, passes to the performing one A12 chip. Thanks to it, the device becomes one of the cheapest and fastest tablets available on the market. Like any self-respecting tablet from the bitten apple, of course, this one also offers support for Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard.
Despite the chip upgrade, 8th generation iPad keeps its cost low. In fact, we leave alone 389 euros for the basic variant with Wi-Fi connectivity and 32 GB of internal memory. The tablet is already available for booking and will arrive on the market starting from September 18 in three different colors.
iPad Air: everything is different than in the past
Apple has also decided to update the range of iPad Air. For this, everything changes compared to the past. In the foreground, design. As already announced by the rumors, the new tablet of the bitten apple is now inspired by the much loved iPad Pro 2018. We find, in fact, a nnew 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display and square edges. Unlike the Pro, however, the colors in which it is proposed are 5.
iPad Air is the first tablet of the bitten apple with a borderless screen that does not have the Face ID facial recognition system. This, in fact, keeps the iconic Touch ID. The way it is implemented, however, is somewhat unique. In fact, Apple has finally decided to integrate the sensor inside the power button, a new era opens.
According to the performances, iPad Air is a real monster. The device mounts the brand new A14 chip (probably the same as we will see on the iPhone 12). Performance improves by 40% compared to the previous generation.
Thanks to the new design, iPad Air is now fully compatible with the new accessories of the Pro variants (Magic Keyboard and 2nd Generation Apple Pencil). The device also brings the useful goal into the field USB-C. The difference between this and the professional models is, now, very minimal.
