E3 2019: The first Final Fantasy VII Remake game will have as much content as any Final Fantasy title.

Despite looking absolutely gorgeous, there are still a lot of questions about Final Fantasy VII Remake, especially when it comes to the game’s structure and length. As we already know, Final Fantasy VII Remake is a “saga” divided into multiple games. However, Square Enix doesn’t know how many games this will end up being. It’s not ideal, but that’s where we are.

The first match in the saga is the one we’ve been watching all this time. It takes place in the city of Midgar only, and is released next year, on March 3. But how big can a story be that takes place entirely within Midgar? Well, we won’t know for sure until we play it, but Square Enix keeps saying it will be the size of a full game.

Specifically, the amount of content in the first chapter of Final Fantasy VII Remake will be equal to the amount of content in any Final Fantasy title. This information comes directly from the mouth of director Yoshinori Kitase, as reported by Game Informer. If true, it means that the Final Fantasy VII Remake (the one that will be released next year, to be clear) must be at least 30 hours long. Well, that’s how it sounds, anyway.

Would you be happy to spend 30 hours in Midgar? Don’t get hit by that tail laser in the comments section below.
