Covid-19, an air purifier is capable of killing the virus

Dynamicsa Cheswick, Pennsylvania company known for flexible microelectronics and ultraviolet technology has begun marketing its first retail product, an air purifier for rooms designed for kill the COVID-19. The air purifier inactivates the virus that causes Covid-19 as air is drawn through the device.

Covid-19 is a highly contagious disease that can be transmitted through tiny droplets in the air. The purifier, which draws air through the device at speeds of up to 300 liters per minute, uses ultraviolet type C radiation to quickly kill the airborne virus. The device is available to consumers at a base price of $ 3,450 from the company website.

The ultimate weapon against Covid-19

“This is Western Pennsylvania-Carnegie Mellon University technology,” he said Jeff Mullen, founder and CEO of Dynamics. “This is a new space for us.” Mr. Mullen, 42, and a resident of Shaler, is a CMU graduate who founded Dynamics in 2007. The company, which employs more than 50 people, has developed a flexible microelectronic technology which is used in credit cards, mobile phones and other applications.

The air purifier, called Nanowave Air, is designed for use in dental and medical practices, as well as in long-term care facilities, elevators and offices. Motors inside the device can push air more than 10 feet away, allowing a device, for example, to process the amount of air in a typical room in about 75 minutes.
