Contrast lacked polish in crucial areas, but the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 puzzle platformer certainly had a sense of style we could get behind. We’re intrigued to see which indie team Compulsion Games launches next, and judging by a blog post on their website, they’re almost ready to talk about it.
“It’s not a sequel to Contrast,” the Canadian company joked. “We haven’t ruled out doing one in the future, but after working on Contrast for so long, we wanted to do something fresh; something new and exciting. It’s about masks, drugs and memory loss, but we swear it’s not a swinger party.” To be honest, the studio already had us with the skins.
Although he promises that more information will be revealed in the coming months, he has released a couple of images to show that this is not a “joke”. These show a vaguely Victorian street with rainbow pathways, and a creepy lady with beehive hair and a BioShock-style opera mask. Do you consider our attention stung? You can bet on it.
