Bluetooth SIG Unveils Final Audio LE Specifications and Introduces Auracast
Bluetooth GIS (Special Interest Group), which regulates this technology, has announced that the final specifications of LE Audio are now available. With LE Audio you get an improvement in audio quality with a lower sound poweradded support for more hearing aids, and introduced auracast.
With the recent growth of wireless bluetooth headsets, up to 619 million in the next few years, Bluetooth LE Audio It intends to update itself to have the best experience thanks to these new specifications. Using less power adds compatibility with a more hearing aids and better flexibility to integrate it into other smaller formats to make life easier for people with hearing loss.
Work is also being done to bring Bluetooth LE Audio to new ideas thanks to its flexible architecture that will enable new features and additional capabilities.
Along with the LE Audio specifications, presented Auracast, a new way of taking audio to other dimensions. With Auracast it will allow a single audio source to broadcast to multiple receivers such as headphones, speakers or even hearing aids. In this way we can share audio with many other people, for example, we can listen to audio from televisions in public spaces, or the radio without disturbing other users.
Devices with the new Bluetooth Audio LE technology are ready to hit the market in the coming months.
